Bear Hunting over bait in Maine:
We offer an excellent bear hunt to a limited number of hunters from McNally's Camps. We ask hunters to refrain from shooting those 100+ bears; wait for old "Sir Bruin". He's big, he's out there and he's wise to bait...but he is also hungry.
- Grouse Hunting:
McNally's Camps are located in some of the best grouse country in Maine. These birds are found sunning themselves along countless miles of twin rut log roads. This is a good way to see a lot of the area. It is also a good way to get an idea where that big buck is going to be found during deer season! October is bird season but here in Northern Maine, it is also moose season.
Moose Hunting in Maine:
During the last full week of September and the second full week of October, hunters who have managed to win a moose permit get their chance for a freezer full of meat. Moose hunting is a matter of logistics. Some hunters choose to ride the road until they find one of these brutes standing in or close to the road, in my opinion not much fun, but it works. Others choose to hunt the old fashioned way, by canoe. This can be a pleasurable experience right up until the moose lies on the ground, all 1,000 lbs of him. Now comes a lot of hard work for everyone!
Moose Season is by Permit Only

Deer Hunting: During deer season we will be at our McNally Camps up north. It is not uncommon to have tracking snow for most of the season so our hunters can be out there pursuing those old ridge runners over hills covered with snow. There are some big bucks around McNally's. Hit it right and put your time in, you just might take one home with you.
